There is no doubt that you will know the name Genting Casino, you will most likely have walked past any of the 44 Genting Casinos that are located around the UK and you would think that the majority of Genting Casino staff like playing a few casino games however that isn’t the case. The boss of UK Genting Casinos, Peter Brooks, has said recently that gambling it just too scary for him.
Peter Brooks hasn’t always worked in the gaming industry. He previously worked as a solicitor for 25 years but then decided to go into business and as the say the rest is history. Although Mr Brooks doesn’t gamble himself his aim is to modernise the casino industry. He wants to ban the reputation this industry has had over the decades and wishes to truly update and reform the casino world.
There are 44 Genting Casinos located throughout the UK and the newest land based one is the Riverlights Casino which opened recently in Derby. One of the Genting Casino’s – Palm beach in central London has the exact casino feel that Mr Brooks is planning on running in other UK Genting Casinos.
It appears to passers-by from the outside as a modern bar with relaxing atmosphere – no one would know it was as casino. It isn’t until you walk through to the back that you are greeted with roulette wheels, slots machine and card tables. Having a casino layout such as this makes the feel of visiting a casino less daunting and it means only the people that actually want to play some casinos games do so if they wish to.
If this plan by Peter Brooks is successful we could see UK Genting Casinos become friendlier and move to becoming more female-dominated rather than male.
