UK Online Poker Player Michael Gallagher jailed for murder threatagainst Online Poker Room Casino staff

An online poker player in the UK has been jailed due to making threats to murder online  poker room staff if they didn’t reimburse him back for his losses. Michael Gallagher was jailed after he told staff he would kill every single person who crossed his path. The unemployed 35 year old wanted online staff to give him back all the money he had lost and he threatened them with harsh actions if they didn’t follow his request.

Mr Gallagher first joined this specific online poker site back in June 2010 and gambled away money in the region of £15,000 to £20,000. Of course never like a bad handy man to blame his tools he told casino staff that the only reason he didn’t win was because he was dealt weak cards and wasn’t impressed with the answers and reasons the online casino provided him with.

In May of this year – almost a year later he went back to the online casino and asked for his money back. While drunk he sent an email in the early hours of the morning demanding that have his losses back and if not he would go to  the company’s online poker headquarters and commit a massacre using firearms.

The next day Mr Gallagher then sent another email apologising to the online casino and asking them to forget the previous email he had sent. However the online casino staff thought these threats were in fact very serious so reported him to the Police who then arrested the online poker player.

At the court trail information was given out that stated that Mr Gallagher had planned his attack on the online casino for six months and he also said he would happily serve a life sentence for it. He pleaded guilty and was given a six month jail sentence.
